The History of the Company

Jackson Piano Service was founded in the early 1960's by Maurice Jackson, Chicago musician, arranger and piano technician. He tuned and repaired pianos throughout Chicagoland for many years until passing the business on to R. Scott Kenyon in 1987.

Scott and Joy (Maury's daughter) built the business from a hundred to over a thousand customers, eventually changing the name of the company to Sounds Good Inc. Scott has been a technician for over 25 years now and is an active member of PTG (Piano Technicians Guild) North Shore Chapter.

Scott continued the growth of Sounds Good by starting The PianoBroker in 1998. He takes pride in helping people buy the right piano for them, and selling their prized piano with confidence and ease.
